Whitpain Township, PA (January 1, 2025) – Two pedestrians were killed, and another was injured after they were hit by a vehicle in Whitpain Township, Montgomery County, within the greater Philadelphia area.
The crash happened around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday near the intersection of Butler Pike and Skippack Pike. An 82-year-old woman from Horsham and a 79-year-old woman from Southampton were both killed in the crash. An 80-year-old woman from Warrington was also injured and taken to Abington Hospital for treatment.
Police say the driver involved remained at the scene. However, officers also reported that no arrests have been made. This incident is currently under investigation, and witnesses were asked to get in touch with Philadelphia officers if they had additional information.
