Warminster, PA (April 18, 2022) – Injuries were reported in a hit-and-run pedestrian crash that took place in Warminster on Monday around 9:50 p.m.
According to Westminster Police, the accident happened at the intersection of West Bristol Road and Mearns Road. A pedestrian was walking across the street at the intersection when they were suddenly struck by a vehicle. The driver of the vehicle drove into a parking lot but then fled the scene headed eastbound.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The pedestrian, who has not yet been identified, was severely injured in the crash. They were rushed to the hospital but their condition is not yet known.
Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked in the area for some time. Police confirmed that the driver of the vehicle that fled the scene was in an older red Honda but have not said if they found the responsible driver.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
Our thoughts are with the injured victim and their family in hopes of a full recovery.
