Trenton, NJ (January 31, 2022) – Two people were injured in a house fire that took place in Trenton on Sunday night, January 30.
According to the Trenton Fire Department, the incident took place at 300 Genesee Street near Beatty Street near a two-story home in a row of other houses. The initial call was made to fire crews around 10:19 p.m. and, by 11:10, fire was breaking through the roof of the home. Fire crews went inside the home to find anyone who was left inside.
Several responders were called to the scene, including Trenton EMS units and Capital Health Paramedic units. Two victims were found inside the home by fire crews and received serious injuries. They were taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center for treatment of their unknown injuries.
The fire was completely placed under control around 11:53 p.m. Fire crews and police had the area blocked until that time.
No further details have been released but the investigation into the fire continues at this time.
