Philadelphia, PA (September 3, 2022) – Authorities said that two people died in a two-vehicle collision in Limerick Township Friday night, September 2nd.
A collision occurred at 9:20 p.m. in the 1200 block of South Township Line Road between Linfield Trappe and Rittenhouse Roads, according to Limerick police.
The police reported finding two “heavily damaged” automobiles at the location. According to authorities, two people trapped inside a car suffered critical injuries and were declared deceased on the scene. The officers took the dog to a nearby animal hospital.
The driver of the second car had non-life threatening injuries and was transferred by ambulance to a local hospital. According to the police, the driver is helping them with their investigation.
After a 4.5-hour closure, police said traffic would be reopened on Township Line Road. Those who saw or have information about the event are urged to contact authorities.
