Philadelphia, PA (April 23, 2023) – On Sunday afternoon, April 23, a major incident involving two cars occurred on a highway that runs through southern Philadelphia, injuring several persons.
The latest information from officials in the Philadelphia area indicates that the incident occurred at around 2:55 p.m. on northbound I-95 between Columbus Boulevard and I-676. Before the crash, two cars were moving and switching lanes legally when something caused them to collide.
In addition to fire and rescue workers and other Philadelphia first responders, medical technicians were dispatched to the scene to aid the injured and ill. However, one or more of the people involved required medical evacuation to a nearby hospital.
Several lanes of traffic were blocked while police tried to clear the scene and finish their initial investigation. There are currently no publicly available updates regarding the crash.
