Fatal Vehicle Wrecks in Pennsylvania
According to data collected from Pennsylvania roadways over the last year, rear-end crashes are the second most prevalent kind of car accident. More than 20,000 incidents each year involving several vehicles are reported in Pennsylvania, so drivers there should exercise extra caution.
Reckless driving is a frequent cause of accidents. In Pennsylvania, cars that disregard traffic lights are the primary cause of rear-end accidents. Sometimes, it’s easy to see who’s at blame in a rear-end incident, but other times, it might be more complicated.
In a rear-end collision, the degree of injury is largely determined by the speed of the vehicle that caused the collision. Most rear-end collisions occur when one motorist suddenly stops, sending the vehicle in front of them careening into oncoming traffic.
If you were injured in a rear-end collision, the irresponsible driver should cover your medical expenses and lost income. If a policyholder is rendered permanently disabled due to a vehicle accident, the insurance company may attempt to avoid paying for the policyholder’s long-term care or lost income and future earning potential.
