Philadelphia, PA (May 21, 2022) – A child sustained critical injuries when he was struck by the driver of an SUV on Tuesday, May 17th in West Philadelphia.
The incident took place at about 4:00 p.m. in the 6300th block of Lebanon Avenue when, according to officials, a 46-year-old woman driving a Nissan Pathfinder westbound on Lebanon Avenue struck the 4-year-old boy.
Paramedics responded to the scene and the boy was taken by ambulance to Children’s Hospital, where he was treated for head trauma and an injury to one of his legs.
He is currently listed in critical but stable condition.
The driver of the Pathfinder was unharmed during the crash.
Police have not been forthcoming with any additional details.
