New Galilee, PA (January 4, 2022) – Two women were tragically killed in a fatal crash on a roadway in New Galilee on Sunday night, January 2.
The accident, according to Beaver County officials, happened at 11:30 p.m. at night on Centennial Avenue. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when it is alleged that one lost control. The vehicles forcefully collided with one another as a result. The involved vehicles were extensively damaged due to the accident.
Local emergency crews, including paramedics and fire crews, were called to the scene to assist those in need. Two women lost their lives as a result of the accident. The victims were identified as a 37-year-old female from Wampum and a 30-year-old female from New Galilee. It is not known if anyone else was injured in the collision.
Police crews were present in the area for several hours after the accident. The roadway was blocked until police cleared the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
