Morrisville, PA (January 21, 2022) – Injuries were reported in a rollover accident that took place at an intersection in Morrisville on Wednesday, January 19.
Lower Makefield Police reported that the accident happened around 2:41 p.m. at the intersection of Big Oak Road and Stony Hill Road. A Subaru Forrester and a Ford Escape were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection at the same time, causing them both to forcefully collide. The Escape went off the side of the road into a grassy ditch, where it rolled over. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged.
Numerous responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those with injuries. One or more victims sustained severe injuries as a result of the collision. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment.
The roadway was blocked in several lanes until police were able to clear the scene. This led to delays for a period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation continues. Police will update as more information becomes available.
Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families in hopes of a full recovery.
