Maxatawny Township, PA (February 18, 2025) – According to officers with the Maxatawny Township Police Department, a crash closed a stretch of Route 222 in Maxatawny Township late on Tuesday, February 18.
It happened around 3:30 p.m. just north of Kutztown, approaching the Berks/Lehigh County line. Initial emergency dispatches called for an accident between two tractor-trailers and a sedan, and at least one person appeared to be injured at the site of the incident.
The victims’ current conditions are unknown, however. Meanwhile, state police are investigating the crash and asked any witnesses to come forward. It’s unclear if citations or charges are pending, but no further details were released in the interim.
