Long Valley, PA (March 31, 2025) – A 40-year-old Warren County man was arrested and charged with driving while under the influence after a three-car crash in Long Valley, authorities said on Monday, March 31.
According to the Washington Township Police Department, officers responded to the area near Rock Ridge Golf Course at about 3:15 p.m. on Sunday after getting a report about a motor vehicle crash. Police say their investigation found the driver, a 40-year-old Vienna resident, appeared impaired. Officers reportedly detected the smell of alcohol, and the driver had difficulty maintaining his balance at the scene.
It’s still unclear how many people were injured due to the wreck, but at least one person received medical treatment; EMTs responded shortly after the incident took place. In the meantime, no further details were made available, but an investigation remains ongoing. Witnesses were asked to contact officers right away, however.
Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their loved ones in hopes of their complete recovery.
Auto Accident Reports in Pennsylvania
Highways and busy, heavily traveled thoroughfares, particularly those that run through the state’s densely populated cities, are famed for being among the most dangerous sites in the nation for serious vehicle accidents. Far too many road accidents occur annually. Researchers anticipated that by the end of last year, the state’s traffic patterns would result in more than 100,000 vehicle collisions throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
When drivers disobey traffic regulations or behave carelessly on the roads and streets, accidents of this kind have the potential to happen in the blink of an eye. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs (also known as DUI), driving while distracted by anything like a phone call or the radio, and driving at unsafely high speeds are all factors that might potentially lead to automobile accidents.
Every driver has a legal responsibility to operate their vehicle safely and avoid putting the lives of other drivers or bystanders in the area at risk or causing them harm. Unfortunately, not all drivers meet this unspoken duty. When drivers are careless on the road, they put themselves and other drivers in danger and may even cause fatal collisions.
