Lancaster County, PA (January 10, 2025) – According to officials with the Pennsylvania State Police in Reading, a fatal crash took place on Route 222 Friday morning, January 10.
According to police, the crash happened at around 5:30 a.m. on Kutztown Road in Maxatawny Township. Police say two vehicles were involved in the crash, including a Honda CRV and an International Harvester tractor-trailer. Police further confirmed that the driver of the Honda, a 41-year-old Reading man, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
EMTs were also assessing those involved for injuries at the site of the incident, but it’s unclear how many people were hurt. In the meantime, PSP authorities proceeded with their investigation, which is still active, and requested that any witnesses contact them.
