Johnstown, PA (June 11, 2023) – A motorcyclist was killed in an accident on Johnstown’s Scalp Avenue on Saturday, June 10.
According to Cambria County Coroner Jeff Lees, the 53-year-old man was killed when a car backed out of the Dairy Queen parking lot and collided with his Harley Davidson.
The man was then ejected from his motorcycle due to the wreck, which happened around 6:30 p.m. An ambulance took him to Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, where he later died.
Lees was joined at the scene by emergency personnel from Richland Township Fire, East Hills EMS, Richland Police, and DART.
The investigation into the incident remains ongoing, and no further details have been released. It’s unclear if citations or charges will be filed concerning the crash.
