Gloucester City, NJ (January 9, 2023) – Injuries were reported, according to officers with the Gloucester City Police Department, in a car crash that took place on Monday evening, January 9.
According to Gloucester City officials, the collision happened in the southbound lanes of Route 42 near I-295 at about 6:20 p.m. The police confirmed that two automobiles were traveling on the right side of the road when they collided in a rear-end or chain-reaction collision that may have involved a third driver.
Several local responders raced to the scene to aid those in need, including paramedics, firefighters, and others. One or more victims sustained injuries in the accident, and these unnamed injured parties were sent to neighboring hospitals for treatment.
Because of the severity of the crash, all northbound lanes were blocked for some time. The cops cleared the scene swiftly, though they did not comment on the victims or the extent of those victims’ injuries.
No other information has been revealed, but the investigation continues. If more information becomes available, the police will offer updates.
Our thoughts are now with the wounded victims and their families. We hope for their complete recovery.
