Gloucester County, NJ (February 3, 2024) – A passenger was killed and several others injured when two vehicles collided on Interstate 295 in Gloucester County on Thursday night, according to New Jersey State Police.
A pickup and passenger vehicle were traveling north on the interstate in West Deptford shortly before 7:00 p.m. when the passenger vehicle hit the rear of the pickup near milepost 19.8, police said. The pickup driver, a 44-year-old Philadelphia woman, suffered serious injuries, and two passengers in the other vehicle suffered minor injuries, according to police. All were taken to an area hospital for treatment. A woman in the truck, riding as a passenger, was pronounced dead at the site, however. The crash remains under investigation, police said. Additional details were not disclosed.
