Evesham, NJ (October 18, 2024) – A toddler who was hospitalized after getting hit by a vehicle earlier this week has died, officials said on Thursday, October 17.
A driver struck the 3-year-old boy in the roadway on Wednesday afternoon in Evesham, police stated. The child, a Lindenwold resident, was hospitalized in critical condition and succumbed to his injuries by Thursday, officers confirmed.
Authorities continue to investigate the collision, but initial reports indicated that the crash happened at about 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday on Route 73 near Holtec Drive. The driver was traveling south on Route 73 when he hit the child, police said. The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
