Douglassville, PA (March 4, 2022) – Injuries were reported in a trash truck accident that took place at an intersection in Douglassville on Friday afternoon, March 4.
According to local officials, the accident happened at the intersection of US-422 and River Bridge Road around 12:31 p.m. A trash truck was traveling in the area when it allegedly entered the intersection at the same time as a passenger vehicle. This caused the two vehicles to forcefully collide with one another. The vehicles both sustained damage as a result of the accident.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries in the collision. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries, though their conditions are not yet known.
Only one or more lanes of traffic were blocked near the intersection for some time as the scene was cleared.
