Cherry Hill, NJ (January 10, 2022) – Injuries were reported in a car crash on a major highway in Cherry Hill on the afternoon of Monday, January 10.
According to local officials, the accident happened at 1:45 p.m. in the afternoon in the southbound lanes of I-295 near Route 70. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when one or more lost control, causing the vehicles to forcefully collide with one another. The involved vehicles were extensively damaged as a result of the collision.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those with injuries. One or more victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries. Their identities and conditions are not known at this time.
Due to the severity of the collision, the roadway was blocked in the area of Route 70 and Berlin Road. Police quickly cleared the scene so that traffic could resume as normal.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues. Police will update with more information as it becomes available.
