Robbinsville, NJ (April 21, 2022) – One person was killed in a fatal tractor-trailer accident that took place on a Robbinsville highway on Thursday morning, April 21.
According to officials, the accident happened around 3:43 a.m. on the New Jersey Turnpike around the area of mile marker 63.4. Police confirmed that a tractor-trailer was traveling in the area when it became involved in a collision with one or more other vehicles. The circumstances are not yet known but the tractor-trailer overturned as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other local responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One person was allegedly flown to Hackensack University Medical Center with serious injuries. One person, identified only as a 36-year-old male, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
The roadway was blocked in several hours for an extended period of time as police worked to clear the scene.
