Philadelphia, PA (February 7, 2022) – On Monday afternoon, February 7, a multi-vehicle collision with injuries took place on a roadway in Philadelphia.
Philadelphia Police confirmed that the accident happened around 4:22 p.m. in the northbound lanes of Roosevelt Boulevard around the area of Wissahickon Avenue. Several vehicles were traveling in the northbound lanes when they forcefully collided with each other due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
Several responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were called to the scene to help those in need. Two or more victims were injured as a result of the collision. The injured parties were hospitalized, though their identities and conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in several lanes of traffic as police worked to clear the scene. This led to delays as the scene was cleared.
