Philadelphia, PA (January 23, 2022) – On Sunday morning, January 23, an injury accident occurred on a major highway in Philadelphia.
Philadelphia Police confirmed that the accident happened at 8:50 a.m. in the northbound lanes of I-95 around the area of exit 17, Broad Street. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to reasons that are not entirely known. The involved vehicles were badly damaged due to the collision.
Numerous responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those with injuries. One or more victims sustained injuries as a result of the accident. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment. Their conditions are not known at this time.
The roadway was blocked in multiple northbound lanes of traffic around the area of the Walt Whitman Bridge. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
