Wildwood, NJ (August 7, 2024) – Five people were injured when a low-speed golf cart left an impairment simulation course during National Night Out in Wildwood.
According to local authorities, the event was held at Fox Park on Tuesday night, August 6. Police say a juvenile attendee and a Wildwood police officer were on the golf cart when they left the enclosed course for unknown reasons and struck four adults and one minor. EMTs responded shortly thereafter to transport all five victims to an area medical center.
Three people have been treated and released. Two others remain hospitalized, but police have not provided further information on the injuries sustained in this incident. Anyone with additional information is asked to call the Wildwood Police Department. Any witnesses to this collision were asked to contact the WPD’s non-emergency number. No additional details were released in the meantime.
