Springfield Township, PA (December 13, 2023) – A man was seriously injured in a crash at 7:00 p.m. Monday on Butler Pike north of Blacktown Road in Springfield Township.
State police said an SUV driven by a 20-year-old man was headed west on Butler Pike. The SUV was trying to turn left into a driveway in the 1600 block but collided with an eastbound truck driven by a 29-year-old man. The truck tried to swerve but crashed into the SUV, police said. Police said one of the drivers sustained major injuries and was taken to a local hospital. The other driver and one or two passengers were seen via news footage at the scene and were evaluated by local EMTs. State police were assisted by the Springfield Fire Department, though an investigation remains active.
