Centre County, PA (July 14, 2023) – On Thursday evening, July 13, two semi-trucks collided, closing westbound lanes of Interstate 80 and causing injuries.
The two tractor-trailers reportedly collided on westbound Interstate 80 between exits 158 (U.S. 220 southbound/Pennsylvania State Route 150 to Militsburg) and State Route 147 (PA 144 to Snow Shoe).
Pennsylvania State Police, together with Centre County authorities, were dispatched to the scene to investigate. EMTs were also called to the scene, though it’s unclear if either driver was transported to a local hospital.
All lanes remained blocked as of 10:30 p.m., though the roadway was reopened by the early morning hours of Friday. However, officers are still investigating in the meantime and have not provided further details to the public.
Our thoughts are with the injured victims in hopes of their full recovery.
