Winslow, NJ (May 19, 2022) – Several victims sustained injuries in a multiple-vehicle collision that transpired on a busy New Jersey highway late on Thursday evening, May 19.
According to the Winslow Township Police, the collision took place in the lanes heading westbound on the Atlantic City Expressway between Exit 38 leading to Williamstown and Exit 33 to Winslow and Blue Anchor. At around 11:30 p.m., two cars were involved in a collision, which caused the traffic on the highway to slow for more than an hour.
It is unknown what caused the accident; however, news footage showed both vehicles were towed away due to the extensive damage caused by the collision.
In addition to the Winslow PD, Winslow Fire Department and local emergency tech services came to the site. It seems that two or three victims were injured, and they were sent to nearby hospitals for treatment. However, medics were unable to confirm the nature or extent of their injuries, nor did they comment on their current conditions.
The sequence of events that led up to the collision is the focus of an investigation that is still taking place, and no more information has been made public at this time.
We hope that those who were harmed in this crash will make a full recovery as soon as possible.
