Philadelphia, PA (May 14, 2022) – Several victims sustained minor to moderate injuries in a multiple-vehicle collision that happened on a busy Philadelphia highway on Saturday evening, May 14.
Around 10:45 p.m., Philadelphia Police received complaints about the collision, which occurred in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 76 between Green Lane and Belmont Avenue.
Two cars were moving in the right southbound lanes when they collided, according to authorities. The cause of the accident is unclear, however, the cars involved were hauled from the site after being relocated to the side of the road.
Philadelphia Fire and EMS units, as well as other emergency services, were called to the incident site. Two or three persons seem to have been hurt and taken to surrounding hospitals for treatment, although their names and conditions have not yet been confirmed by Philadelphia Police.
Traffic in the area was halted for almost an hour while the accident site was scoured for evidence. Officials in Philadelphia are presently investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
Our sympathies are with the victims of this accident, and we wish them a speedy recovery.
